Working with this couple was an absolute dream. Their love for one another was so evident and heart warming, and it was truly an honor to capture their special day in such a breathtaking location. From the outdoor reception area to the antique, rustic charm of the entire venue, every detail was perfect and made for an unforgettable experience.
One of our favorite things about working with Megan & Michael was the love that they had for each other. It was so evident from the instant they saw each other during their first look, tears streaming down their faces. It's always such an honor to witness those raw, emotional moments and be able to capture them to turn them into forever memories.
Megan & Michael were also incredibly enthusiastic about our work, and it was clear that they trusted us to create something magical. They knew that the venue they had chosen, The Whispering Oaks Terrace in Pala, California, would be perfect for us as it had so much to work with. And they were right! It was really such a unique wedding, and was such a fun change of pace from what we normally do in New England. Which is why we love traveling & destination weddings/elopements so much!
One of the most memorable details of the wedding was their taco bar! Megan & Michael served up some of the most delicious and authentic Mexican tacos we've ever had. It was such a fun and unique touch that really added to the overall vibe of the wedding.

The Whispering Oaks Terrace
This southern California wedding venue itself was simply stunning. We absolutely loved the outdoor reception area, it had so much rustic charm and lots of antique details. It was so unique and different from what we normally see in New England, which, again, is why we love traveling so much. The entire venue is surrounded by 300-year-old oak trees, wine barrels, winery equipment, and farming antiques - and of course, that great western charm that Southern California is known for.
For any couples considering getting married in southern California, we would highly recommend this southern California wedding venue. The grounds are so beautifully decorated, and there are endless possibilities for photo backdrops. Additionally, the venue has everything you need all in one place, from ceremony & reception spaces to expansive rooms to get ready in.
