What's more beautiful than a winter wedding in New England? If you ask us, nothing! Ellie + Jarred's Christmas wedding was filled with love + stunning decor. We were truly honored to capture their most special day. They had amazing, tangible chemistry, and really made our jobs so easy! Ellie + Jarred came to us with a love of the art of photography and fully trusted us. Having full creative control over photos doesn't happen every wedding, but when it does it's magic! Their venue, decor, vintage getaway car, and just overall day were stunning. We can't wait to share more of this gorgeous winter wedding in New England with you!
The Details of this Winter Wedding in New England
One of our favorite aspects of this winter wedding in New England was the decor! We were in complete awe of the attention to detail throughout both of their ceremony + reception venues. From the lights everywhere to the tablescaspes, the overall atmosphere was truly magical. No detail was left behind!
They even rented a vintage Bentley to take them to the ceremony and the reception. We loved getting to capture a few photos in/with the car. It added such a cool aesthetic to their gallery. If you get any inspiration from this blog, let it be this: have at least one extra detail to your wedding day! Having that one detail that is fully uniquely you, will make your photos and your wedding that much more special.
Bedford Village Inn + Bethany Covenant Church
Ellie + Jarred had their winter wedding in New England at Bedford Village Inn. It's a one stop shop kind of wedding venue. You can get ready there, have your ceremony, and finish the day off with your reception all in the same location! Ellie + Jarred opted to have their ceremony at Bethany Covenant Church, which is a stunning church ceremony location just a few minutes away. Ellie + Jarred's reception was held in Bedford Village Inn's Great Hall. This specific room can hold up to 210 guests. Bedford Village Inn also offers onsite room accommodations for the wedding party and up to 50 guests.
The Bedford Village Inn is situated on 10 acres of land with a romantic, New England vibe. It was so beautiful for this winter wedding. They have elegant, little walkways on the grounds that give off an ultra-romantic aesthetic. The courtyard is beautiful at night. It's all lit up and stunning. It would be a perfect location for night portraits after dancing the night away with the love of your life! If you want a wedding venue that has it all for your winter wedding in New England, Bedford Village Inn is definitely worth a visit!
Maximize Your Time with Your Lover
Something we always suggest is doing a first look. With this venue especially, a first look would be a necessity if you want to utilize all the locations for portraits! There really are so many, and it can be hard to fit in all the portraits in just one hour no matter the venue. With a first look, you get to take all the formal portraits before the ceremony (hello, extra time with your lover on your wedding day!). Then we would use half of cocktail hour capturing even more portraits with just you two and the other half you can enjoy some alone time!
We are all about maximizing photos in different locations while maximizing quality time with your lover on your wedding day. You spent all this time and money planning the day of your dreams so let's make sure you have time to enjoy it as well! That's one of the main reasons we'll always suggest a first look to any of our couples.
Ellie + Jarred wanted their winter wedding day to be a day full of celebration! They were ready to party from the very beginning of their wedding day. They even had an impromptu dance party before dinner even started. They hired a phenomenal live band that kept the crowd going all hours of the night.
